For the last couple of days there has been this amazing swarm of little white butterflies in and around Ficksburg. I think they may be migrating, but I stand to be corrected. It is amazing to see this many butterflies flitting around all over the place.
Whilst doing washing in the middle of nowhere on the Botswana side of the Kgalagadi I noticed the butterflies crowding around the water which spilled over onto the sand. They were only too eager to get some long-awaited water even though it was a little soapy and were hardly perturbed by my presence.
